Stage 1

The doctors’ opinions

  1. Write to us or leave your number.

    We call you back within an hour, between 9:00 and 21:00, every day.

  2. Send your documents securely.

    Through a secure page, not over WhatsApp. We tell you which documents the hospitals need.

  3. Choose the hospitals.

    We show you the partner hospitals that treat the speciality concerned. Your file goes only to the hospitals you approve, as many as you like.

  4. Receive the opinions and quotes.

    The doctors’ written opinions and price quotes, translated where needed and set side by side, usually within a few working days after we receive the complete documents.

Stage 2

Treatment, if you choose it

  1. Decide together with your own doctor.

    No rush and no obligation. If you decide not to go ahead, the opinions are yours to keep.

  2. Appointment and travel.

    We help with the hospital appointment and, if needed, an interpreter. Flights and accommodation are booked through a licensed travel agency.

  3. After you return.

    You receive the hospital’s documents, translated where needed, for your own doctor, and we stay in touch with you.

  • We don’t promise results, and we don’t say that one hospital or country is better than another.
  • We never discourage treatment at home. We encourage you to stay in touch with your own doctor.
  • We don’t ask you for money. You pay the hospital directly for treatment, only if you choose it.

Why several opinions, not just one

Hospitals differ in experience and equipment. With several written opinions you see the options and costs more clearly, and you can discuss them with your own doctor.

Documents hospitals ask for

  • The medical letter / discharge summary
  • The histopathology result (biopsy), if one was done
  • Recent imaging: X-rays, CT, MRI or PET-CT. The report and, if possible, the CD with the images (DICOM)
  • Recent blood tests
  • A list of the treatments and operations so far, if any

Don’t have all the documents? That’s fine. We start with what you have and help you obtain the rest, including a copy of the imaging CD.

Frequently asked questions

How much does your service cost?

Nothing. Our service is completely free: we are paid by the partner hospitals.

Which specialities do you cover?

Most of them: oncology, transplants, cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, IVF, paediatrics, ophthalmology and more. If the speciality you need isn’t listed, write to us and we will tell you whether we have partner hospitals that treat it.

Does the Romanian health insurance fund (CNAS) cover treatment in Turkey or Israel?

Generally, no. Turkey and Israel are not in the European Union, so the S2 form and the EU rules on treatment in another country do not apply. Romania’s Ministry of Health runs a separate programme for treatments that cannot be done in Romania (Order 50/2004), with prior approval. We explain the steps; the decision belongs to the ministry’s committees.

Who reviews the file?

Each hospital’s doctors. We do not interpret documents.

How soon do I receive the opinions?

Usually within a few working days after we receive the complete documents.

Do the documents need translating?

Not by you. We prepare the file in English, with the translations the hospitals need, and translate the opinions for you where needed.

How do I pay for treatment?

Directly to the hospital, based on its written quote. You pay us nothing.

Can someone come with me?

Yes. Our partner travel agency helps with accommodation for a companion.

What happens to my data?

Documents are stored encrypted, in the European Union. We send them only to the hospitals you approve, through links that expire. We delete them from our systems on request, or automatically 12 months after the last activity. Copies downloaded by hospitals are kept by them under their own rules; we tell you how to ask them to delete them.

What if I decide to be treated at home?

It’s your decision and we respect it. The opinions are yours to keep, to discuss with your own doctor.
